They are built according to scale of the original ships through original plans or pictures using the plank on frame construction method. The hull is joined by multi-pieces of dry thin wood glued together. Inside the hull, we use high quality epoxy which helps the thin wooden bars to bond close to one another and not split, crack or twist even in variable climatic conditions. Our models are completely build from scratch, NOT from kit. Each model comes with a stand for display. 2. How are the ships measured? North America: Measured the full dimension in inches (Only available when log in) All ships from the factory are measured in centimeter and illustrated in the below picture.
3. Materials We use the highest quality woods like rose wood, ebony, black wood,
mahogany, teak… All the wood is naturally seasoned and kiln
dry before use to make sure that the completed products
withstand any climate. 4. Timing of work With about 200 craftsmen and employee, we can finish your order for out of stock items in as early as two weeks depending on the quantity of your order. It takes hundreds of man-hours to build one model like Wasa, Sovereign of the Seas, H.M.S Victory, Friesland, Soleil Royal, San Felipe, Fairfax, etc. 5. Placing an order We accept orders through the internet for North America (need to log in), you can also contact us by phone, fax or email. 6. Terms of payment: (T/T or L/C) North American customers can pay by credit card or company check or Net 30 upon approval. For others, we accept wire transfer. You will be instructed clearly on how to transfer money into our bank account when placing an order. For container order, we need 30% down payment at the signing
of the contract or after confirming internet-orders (email order). The
balance, 70% is paid within 7 days prior to shipment of goods.
We can only agree an L/C at sight for orders over US$10,000.
7. Delivery time North America: Drop ship order will be processed with 2 business days. Regular orders take about 1-2 weeks. Show orders take about 2-5 weeks. World: We will process your order within 3 days and delivery time will be vary based on the quantity. 9. How are the ships packed?
Each ship is individual packed in a carton box. A
wooden frame is used
to protect the ship from breakage when the box is accidentally
tipped up side down,
dropped or has heavy objects placed on it. For ships and yachts with simple details, they are packed with masts fold down. For aircrafts and vehicles, we use foam or cushion to put around the item for protection. The whole case is protected with a wooden crate. 10. How are the models shipped? North America: For small shipment, we ship out by D.H.L. ground, for larger order we ship by common carrier (Freight). World:
Container order will be shipped by
ocean freight. Samples order can be ship by air. Please
